TRACY HENNES
-HUHS BOARD OF EDUCATION-

ABOUT ME
I take into account the perspectives of all stakeholders as I represent them on the Board. I am not a politician; just a person who truly wants to serve the community and do what I can to ensure our schools are an important resource and a point of pride for the Hartford area community. I value doing what needs to get done (even if it's hard), continuous learning and innovation, being responsible and respectful to all generations, and striving to bring out the best in those around me.

I take seriously the trust that parents put in school officials every day. I also do believe that parents have the fundamental right to make decisions for their children's education, medical care, and moral upbringing. I would like to see more parent and community engagement with the HUHS Administrative team and the School Board.
My husband, Matt, and I are both Hartford Union High School graduates. We live in Hubertus, have been married for 26 years, and have three children. Two of our children, Logan and Delaney, have graduated from HUHS and are now attending college. We have one son, Connor, who is a senior at HUHS. My children are the 4th generation of HUHS graduates in my family. I have lived within the HUHS district for almost my entire life and am so glad to be able to raise my own children here. We are active in our church, serving our community, and simply cannot imagine living anywhere else.
I work part-time work and have the opportunity to focus primarily on the school board role. Previously, I worked in school districts as a speech-language pathologist and lead role for special education teams. During my career as an SLP, I was honored to provide services for children, students, and families with special needs in Wisconsin public schools and Washington County's Birth to Three programs. I have a bachelor's degree from U.W. Oshkosh in Communication Disorders; a master's degree from Marquette University in Speech-Language Pathology; and a master's degree from Marian University in Educational Leadership. I obtained certifications in Wisconsin as a speech-language pathologist, director of curriculum and instruction, and director of special education and pupil services.
I am a woman of faith and I bring those values and beliefs to all that I do. I thank God for His guidance. I thank our community for putting your trust in me to serve on the School Board.
